This was a great week for Sugar Cookie Creations! I had five orders this week and had so much fun decorating. I’ve never thought of myself as creative, but when decorating, you really tap into those creative juices.
My first order was for a friend from high school. Her son was having a birthday and she wanted cookies to share with his little league football team. I made three dozen football helmet cookies decorated in his team colors.

Next I had two orders for another friend from high school. These orders were for her nephews who were turning three and four years old. This was fun to use lots of bright colors and also try out my new letter and number cookie cutters.

I also did a small order for one of my friends. She is a teacher and ordered these cookies to give to the other teachers in her grade. I took this picture on my BlackBerry so the colors aren’t as vivid in the pictures as they really are.

Finally, I did a dozen cookies to be used as place settings at a bridal shower. The colors were white, black with a splash of red. They looked very pretty on the table and I’m glad I got to see them set up.

My new convection double oven was delivered this week. I am very excited about it and can’t wait to get baking!

Michelle,
Cookies as place settings — what a fabulous idea! I’m going to have to find a way to do that sometime. Gee, if only I had a social life that included events that merit place settings. Heck, I’d settle for any sort of social life, with or without place settings! Enjoy – and call me so we can get together!
I can’t believe how gorgeous and neat your cookies look!! How do you get the writing so even, spaced and straight – especially on the place setting cookies? I’ve tried resting my forearms on something and bracing the main hand at the wrist but I still can’t get them this neat! Please giv eme a clue!
